Acne Remedies Without Creams or Oils
May 26th
Sooner or later, every one will suffer from acne and may even try home remedies to treat acne as a final option. Many just find natural treatments for this irritating problem more useful. Avoiding on shelf products that have so many unnatural ingredients, home remedies are more affordable but a yet a good way of getting rid of acne.
Drinking sufficient water, eating the right vitamins and doing ample exercise is the greatest home remedy that helps acne. These will purify the body and give the skin a glow. Although these techniques take longer to work, they keep the face clearer for a longer time. For a remedy that works quicker, simple treatments can be used to decrease the possibility of an acne attack. The ingredients of these cures come from your kitchen cupboards.
The most well known home cure for acne is toothpaste. Once you see a spot, put toothpaste on it to prevent it from puffing up. Toothpaste also helps dehydrate the pimple. Do not press the pimple before you apply the toothpaste. You will be left with a mark on your face.
If you do not want to use toothpaste, fresh mint placed on the pimpled skin can also help. Mint and turmeric powder is also fabulous zit healing combination. The red puffiness will subside immediately. To prevent a yellow face however, wash off after about 10-20 minutes.
Many feel that lemon juice is a great way to get rid of acne. Lemon helps dry the pimple. It also helps take away dark marks left by the pimple. Because lemon dries out the spot, it might dry out the skin as well. It may leave the face feeling rough and hard. To prevent this, you should always use a light day cream on your face afterwards.
You could use vinegar and salt to cure acne, and it is all found in your pantry. Blended together, they are not only nice for cooking, but you will find that placing them on zits is just as useful. An amazing use of salt is for healing. Wash the vinegar off after some time because it is a very strong ingredient.
Using cucumber daily on the face is also great for curing acne. Cucumber has a lot of water in it and is really refreshing. Mash the cucumber up and spread on the face generously. This might be best to prevent an acne attack, but if you do have some pimples already, don’t hesitate to use it. Garlic can also be an awesome cure of acne. Although it has a strong smell, garlic helps pimples disappear. The fresh garlic needs to be crushed finely and put on each spot. It need not be placed on the entire face.
To stop yourself from spending a lot on products that could work, it is much safer to try home treatments that are so much better and clean.
Why Is It Important To Know My Skin Type?
Mar 2nd
Do you know if your skin is Oily,Dry or Sensitive? Whenever a woman says she’s not sure, then she usually has Normal/Combination skin. Anyone who has oily, dry or sensitive skin, is sure.
Normal/Combination skin is the ideal and may feel slightly dry or slightly oily within 2 hours after cleansing. If your body produces oil that may be a little more or a little less than you need, you’re still within the normal range. Normal to Dry combination skin has dry cheeks and a normal T zone. Normal to Oily combination skin has normal cheeks and an oily T zone.
The person with Dry skin knows that her body doesn’t generate enough oil to keep her facial skin moist. The under activity of her oil glands results in skin that feels dry or tight within minutes after cleansing. This type skin has very tight pores and generally has spots of dry flaky skin.
If your skin is really shiny or very oily within 2 hours after cleansing, then you have Oily skin. This person knows that her body has over active sebaceous (oil) glands, and her face produces too much oil. This type has enlarged pores, is generally oily all over, and is prone to outbreaks or acne.
Average products may cause redness and/or itching for Sensitive skin. Most cosmetic lines carry a group of products with no known allergens. These are designed to be mild and very gentle to sensitive-type facial skin; which may be combined with any of the above types, dry-sensitive, oily-sensitive, etc.
All skin types will have some kind of unfavorable reaction if you’re not using the right skin care products. You can expect extreme problems if you have very dry or very oily or sensitive skin. Dry skin may flake, peel, or even crack open; with prolonged improper care, dry skin will wrinkle 10 to 20 years ahead of the other skin types. That’s why dry skin needs to begin appropriate (pH balanced) skin care as early as possible to prevent those serious, costly problems.
Oily skin can expect more severe and longer lasting problems if their cleanser contains too much oil. Those severe problems may be facial acne that becomes infected as bacteria attaches itself to oily skin or where hair folicles that are unable to grow past the surface level (because of overgrown skin cells), may develop into puss filled cysts. The lasting problems may be permanent dark pimple discolorations or extremely enlarged pores that equal an uneven skin surface.
A few of the more sever reactions that sensitive skin might expect are extreme dryness, burning and itching. 1st degree burns that look like eczema and possible scarring. Products designed for sensitive skin will leave your face feeling normal; not too dry, oily or itchy. Before using a new product, test a little behind an ear and give it 24 hours to see if you’ll have a negative reaction.
The average person does not suffer from these extreme problems, but many other people do. The idea of using the most beneficial products for your skin type is that it should make your skin feel normal, not too dry, not too oily and not itchy. Once you’ve identified your skin type and only use the appropriate skin care items, you can minimize or eliminate those extreme problems and the added expense of a dermatologist.
Best Acne Treatments

According to the Medical Dictionary the “definition” for Acne is:
Acne is a common skin disease characterized by pimples on the face, chest, and back. It occurs when the pores of the skin become clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria.
Acne is usually not contagious but an inflamed lession can cause pain and tenderness and if infected may have cosmetic consequences such as scarring. Teenagers can become withdrawn and emotionally upset and can cause problems with their ability to form healthy relationships with others and some may have problems keeping jobs.
Sever acne should be seen and treated by your family doctor or dematologist or a skin disease specialist or endocrinologist.
Doctors may use other types of procedures in addition to
drug therapy to treat patients with acne. For example, the
doctor may remove the patient’s comedones during office
visits. Sometimes the doctor will inject corticosteroids
directly into lesions to help reduce the size and pain of
inflamed cysts and nodules.Early treatment is the best way to prevent acne scars. Once
scarring has occurred, the doctor may suggest a medical or
surgical procedure to help reduce the scars. A superficial laser
may be used to treat irregular scars. Dermabrasion (or microdermabrasion),
which is a form of “sanding down” scars, is
sometimes used. Another treatment option for deep scars
caused by cystic acne is the transfer of fat from another part
of the body to the scar. A doctor may also inject a synthetic
filling material under the scar to improve its appearance.

Acne Treatment Help
Acne is a skin disorder which is characterized by the presence of blackheads, white heads, or pimples that block the pores of our skin. First off I would like to start by saying that acne is not a result of dirty skin or poor hygiene practices. If you have acne now, patience with your skin probably isn’t only your list of virtues. Yes, don’t get me wrong, your acne can be aggravated by – excessive dirt and oil on the surface of the skin – hormonal changes caused by menstruation or pregnancy – stress – certain drugs such as testosterone or cortisone and acne tends to be more prominent in some families than others, it is hereditary.
Acne occurs when there is an increase production of the male sex hormone, testosterone it stimulates the skin to produce a larger quantity of sebum or in easier terms, oil. Testosterone also stimulates the cells that line our hair shafts and produce keratin, keratin is a tough protective skin protein that can block our passage of seburn from our pores. Testosterone byproduct “dihydrostestosterone” thickens the skin and toughens its underlying tissues.Â
Conventional medical treatments for acne include antibiotics and large does of vitamin A. Each has its own draw backs. Antibiotics are effective only if we take them for long periods but can lead to stomach and digestive disturbances along with many other problems such as resistance. Vitamin A supplements are generally very safe when you follow the prescribed directions, but can cause liver damage in overdose and birth defects, if there is an unknown and/or unexpected pregnancy. Keep in mind that Accutane (Isotretinoin), a drug that is prescribed for sever acne patients, causes miscarriage and multiple birth defects if taken during pregnancy, as well as liver problems, eyes, ears and skeletal system.
Natural Acne Herbal Treatments do not carry these risks. Some Acne Herbal Treatments are applied externally, while other herbs and formulas are taken internally. For best results use both type of topical and internal treatments. With just a few treatments you can see the dramatic improvement on the area affected by acne. (List of Beneficial Herbs)
You should stay away from junk and processed food as there is evidence they can cause acne to worsen. Products containing benzyl peroxide are considered the best over the counter acne product available today. The content in natural acne products are herbs and natural oils like Tea Tree Oil which is antibacterial cleaner, Lavender Oil to counter acne and prevent oil and Rosewood oil a strong acne treating agent. But remember that these natural acne home remedies can also be kinder to your skin than their manufactured counterparts, which can ultimately have a more healthful effect on the condition of your skin.
A natural acne treatment which deals with the cause of acne and not just the symptoms of it is best. When this occurs, pre-existing acne can become even more irritated, which in turn prolongs the problem. Acne treatments are always done on the basis of severity of condition.
Cosmetic preparations containing lanolin and paraffin are known to exacerbate acne. Remember not every popular adult acne product work well for everyone.
If you continue to have acne then you continue to have acne scarring, therefore by first eliminating acne breakouts you will help to decrease the chance of more acne scarring. Let’s look at the connection of the cleansers, creams, and acne cosmetics you’re currently using, and see why some may not work to prevent your acne breakouts or increased blackheads.
